Flying Field and Operations Procedure

I. STATEMENT OF USE
Safety and enjoyment are the uppermost goals for the use of the North Park flying sight. anything that diminishes either will not be acceptable.
II. REQUIRED RULES
All pilots must be current members of the AMA & TMC and fly according to posted AMA & TMC rules.

All visitor pilots must prove current AMA membership.

Utilization of the Frequency Board and the Transmitter Impound are required at all times.

During flight pilots should have a Safety Observer with them.

Do not taxi aircraft toward the pits.

III. FIELD COURTESY
Notify other pilots of your intentions to takeoff, land or enter and leave an unsafe area.
IV. HELICOPTER OPERATIONS
The helicopter pad and designated helicopter flying area is for the use of helicopters only; any flight outside this area must be in the TMC flying area.

Any time a helicopter transfers from one flying area to the other the pilot must notify other pilots of your intentions to takeoff, or land.

Helicopters should be no lower than 25 feet when they cross the runway.

Helicopters may be started in the pit area, blade rotation will only be allowed in one of the two flight areas.

V. CLUB TABLES
Club tables are provided for the purpose of assembly, preflight (power off), field type repairs, and disassembly.

Tables are not a storage area. Once the aircraft/aircraft's are ready to fly thay are to be placed in the pit area.

Tables should be clean.

Do not run engines on tables or underneath the metal awnings.

VII. FREQUENCY BOARD and TRANSMITTER IMPOUND - Guidelines for Use

WARNING - Transmitters have a range of over one (1) mile. Never turn on a transmitter at or near the field unless you have the frequency pin.

AT THE FIELD

1. Insure transmitter is turned off and place it in the transmitter impound.

2. To Fly: Remove correct frequency tag and clip to transmitter. Place your AMA card below the frequency number of the tag you removed.

3. Between Flights: Place transmitter in the impound, place frequency tag on frequency board and retrieve your AMA card.

4. Transmitter Charging: Remove correct frequency tag and clip to transmitter. Place your AMA card below the frequency number of the tag you removed. If frequency tag is in use make arrangements with the user to charge your transmitter.

5. Leaving the Field: Replace the frequency tag, retrieve your AMA card, and remove your transmitter from the impound.

VIII. SAFETY
Frequency and transmitter contol along with a complete pre-flight will eliminate most preventable accidents.

All of Tyler Modelers Club officers and Board members are safety advisor and are there to help.

Any unsafe activities affect all members, guests and neighbors. Please follow all safety guidelines, your positive attitude will benefit everyone.
